"While I have had the district pleasure of knowing Bob's son Paul for many years, I met Bob in person for the first time last year. Bob greeted me at the door with a most witty comment and set the stage for one of the best vacations I have ever had, thanks to the wonderful company of the Lawrence family. I felt that my life was enhanced thanks to the time I was able to spend with he and his wonderful wife, Pat. What an impact he must have had on the people fortunate to have spent multiple times in his presence. "
- George Willock

"Bob and I met when we both started in Int’l Programs at GRC. We soon discovered one of his former Gonzaga students became my husband’s math teacher. Bob was so helpful when my girls started college. He was often their “stand-in” advisor for many university questions. Bob was a wonderful person to work with and I will miss our chats. "
- Judy Fuchs

"Uncle Bob was a man people were drawn to. He had a great sense of humor. He was definately a "Lawrence". We all loved listening to his stories. He could "cut a rug" on the dance floor with all his nieces &nephews. What fun family gatherings were. But most of all, his love for aunt Pat was a shining example of what a great marriage is. "
- Lou Scott

"Bob was such a great part of Green River Community College. I first met him in 1983 when I went to work for Bill Taylor. Bob and I shared the same birthday, and we had many friendly chats over the years. He will be missed. Marcy Maurer"
- Marcy Maurer

"We were honored and blessed by having Bob advise international students part time for us for many years. His institutional knowledge, life experience and unflagging positiveness made every day we worked with him a sunny day, regardless of the weather outside. He looked for the good in everyone and invariably brought it out. We'll miss him very much."
- Ross Jennings
