Robert McIntosh Obituary


Robert Lamar McIntosh was born August 15, 1946 in St. Petersburg Florida to the late Juanita Farrell and Nathan McIntosh. Robert was called from labor to rest January 31, 2018. The eldest of three children, Robert and his siblings were raised in Jasper, Florida where he met and married his wife Juanita McIntosh February 21, 1972. Robert confessed his belief in Christ at Bethel Christian Church in Seattle, Washington. He believed in the “Golden Rule” treating others as one would wish to be treated. He was a kind-hearted person who would give you the shirt off his back. During his lifetime he touched the lives of many people. He was a husband, father, brother, and friend. Robert served in the U.S. Military for fourteen years. Whereby he received an extended letter of gratitude for superior performance in an exemplary manner proving himself to be a dedicated hard-worker. His attitude and ability to get along with others were excellent. “A job well done” per service record. Robert received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Rehabilitation at Seattle University and an Associate Arts Degree in Social and Human Services at Seattle Central College. Robert worked for the Veteran’s Administration Regional Office in Seattle as a Clerical Supervisor as well as a facilitator and Counselor for Pioneer Fellowship’s work release program. His professional experience included working as a Rehabilitation Specialist for Washington State’s Department of Labor and Industries and as a Mental Health Counselor for the Thunderbird Treatment Center. Robert’s hobbies and interests include; jazz, classical music, cooking, swimming and sports. He leaves to cherish his memory: Wife, Juanita McIntosh, three sons, Michael, Sedrick, and Jarvis McIntosh of Seattle Washington. One daughter Nycole Ellington Jones (Michael) of St. Petersburg, Florida. Two brothers, Charles Henry (Cynthia) of Orlando, Florida and Ronnie Hogan (Peggy) of Lakeland, Florida. Nine grandchildren; Sammuel Starke, Maiyana McIntosh, Kayn McIntosh, Michael McIntosh Jr., Jayson and Jayden McIntosh, David, Kennedy, and Sydney Jones along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
