Obituary

Jack will be remembered by many for so many things. His love for God was the foundation of his Catholic Faith which he was so proud of. Rita, his beloved wife of 62 years was the joy of his life. With a family of 12 children, 2 of which preceded him in death, 50 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren there surely could not have been a greater gift. Even in the midst of the illness Jack would fondly reflect on how proud he was of his family. Patriot at heart, his Country was so important to him. Hunting trips and poker games were activities he enjoyed. At the age of 60, he earned his pilot's license. Though his journey in this life was full, the last year was difficult. Diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2005 a period of health issues began, which included dementia. Rita never wavered, staying by his side through the difficult transition of Jacks' life. The past year has been a time of care giving which Rita lovingly poured over Jack. Just weeks ago Jack entered Auburn General Hospital which he received amazing and loving care. On June 21st he was moved to Life Care Center for Hospice care, where on Sunday, June 23rd, 2013, Jack peacefully left this world and went home to be with our Lord and joined his daughter Cherrie, son Carl, sister Doris and so many other loved ones. His ambition and strong sense of never giving up and always trying something new will definitely carry on in the many offspring, family and friends that mourn his passing. He was not just wonderful, but extraordinary. Service at St. Vincent's Federal Way, Friday, June 28th, 2013, 11:00 am. Graveside services to follow at Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery.
