Obituary

Caleb Michael Huebner passed away peacefully in his mother’s arms at Dave and Busters, his favorite place. Caleb was born on January 17, 2000, in Federal Way, Washington to Kagen Huebner and Sarah Gilcrist. Caleb participated in Special Olympics, Young Life, Future Farmers of America (FAA), Black Lake Bible Camp, Leadership Class and was the Football Manager for Tahoma Highschool. Caleb graduated from Tahoma Highschool in 2018 and Special Transition Program in 2021. He landed an amazing opportunity at Amazon thanks to his Job Coach Vendor, Trillium Employment Services. He worked at Amazon for almost 2 years.

Caleb loved fireworks, Scooby Doo, Christmas Lights, Holiday Blow ups, vacations, detailing cars, paddleboarding, boating, Djing, tornado sirens, amusement parks, arcade games, giving gifts to people and he loved spending time with his family and his best friends. Caleb wore shorts and flip flops no matter what the weather was like. Caleb would give people coupons for a free car wash or spend a day with Caleb. He would spend hours researching fireworks for the 4th of July and would come up with a purchase list and would turn fireworks on tv and fall asleep to it. Caleb would decorate his car for the holidays with lights. Caleb would put air fresheners in people’s cars as a surprise. Caleb would do people’s Christmas lights every year charging very little than providing all the lights and blow ups and letting them keep them.

Caleb touched the lives of everyone he met. His favorite saying was Life, Laugh, Love. He was known as the BFG (Big Friendly Giant). He was the light in so many eyes. His Smile and happiness will never be forgotten. Shine your light bright in heaven Caleb.

He is survived by his loving mother, Sarah Gilcrist, Stepfather Bradley Lowe, Grandparents Richard & Joan Gilcrist, Donald & Deborah Lowe. Father Kagen Huebner, Stepmother Amanda Huebner, Sisters Violet and Scarlet Huebner, Grandparents Mike and Zelia Huebner
