Donald Theodore Ille, Born January 13th, 1928 Passed away July 14th, 2012 After a long courageous battle with health issues Don has gone to his eternal resting place. He was born in Hilger, Montana and was one of six children. He started off his adventure by becoming a cowboy and then he spent some time as miner in copper and silver mines in Idaho. He served in the US Navy. Looking for a new adventure he took on Alaska. He enjoyed Alaska by hunting and fishing. He was a long haul truck driver for many years. In 1961, he joined Pacific Western Barge Lines and became General Manager until May 8th, 1981 when he retired. He was a proud Alaska Teamster member for 31 years. Donald and his loving wife Artie purchased 60 beautiful acres in Shelton to build their dream home. Don, joyously returned to being a cowboy and raised cattle on the farm. They travelled the globe, visiting China, Italy and all corners of the United States. Plus they took a dream vacation and visited the Panama Canal. After many years of farming and hosting countless events with 8 children, 18 grand children and 14 great grand children, plus many friends and neighbors. Don and Artie finally settled down in Silverdale, WA. He was a lifetime Elks Member. He is survived by his wife of 35 years; 8 children Terry & Wendell (WA), Kathy (OR), Gary (UT), Sharon (WA), Pam (WA), Dino (WA), Rob & Mary Ann (WA) and Matthew (WA); 18 grand children and 14 great children. Best known as GRANDPA GOOSLER to their grand children and great children, as well as POPS. He was dearly loved and will be missed by wife, family and all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Washington Elks Therapy Program for Children (Bremerton Lodge #1181) Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 20th, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Bremerton Elks Lodge, 4131 Pine Rd NE, Bremerton, WA 98310
