Frank M. Johnson, age 71, died Monday May 24, 2020 at home after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Johnson is survived by sister Kris Convery, brothers Michael Johnson and Donald Johnson of Indiana and Charles Johnson of Texas. He grew up in Lansing, Chicago, the eldest son of Donald L. Johnson Sr. and Theresa Johnson who preceded him in death.
Frank is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including Air Medals (9th Award) Presidental Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal with two stars, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medals, and Combat Air Crewman’s Wings with three stars. He served with distinction as a Marine Corporal in Vietnam. He was wounded during his service and received other commendations for his dedication and bravery. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines was ever present in his life.
Frank worked with Boeing until retirement as Lead Accountant for Government Acquisitions. He received his Masters Degree in Accounting at University of Washington and became a CPA.
He will be cremated and interred at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
