Jerry Maxine DEAN

Jerry Maxine Dean was born on April 11, 1927 in Jonesboro, LA. She was born to one loving parent Mary Ella Turner. Most of Jerry’s childhood was spent with her grandparents, Mattie and Willie, on a plentiful farm. It was there she enjoyed riding to school on her favorite white horse and followed by her dog Jack. As a teenager Jerry and her mother moved to California, where Jerry soon acquired a day job working at a local café. Jerry was invited to visit her cousin in Seattle and during that stay she met her soon-to-be- husband General Dean Jr. From then both Jerry and General were inseparable and soon were wed. Jerry became a stay at home mother and homemaker. Jerry had a natural talent for interior decorating and she loved to cook, sew, decorate and work in her yard. She hosted many amazing parties with an extensive playlist of Blues (her favorite Genre) for friends and family. Jerry loved to laugh, she fought hard to live and she often missed her family. Jerry, who lost her husband of 65 years in September of 2013 leaves behind seven children. Three sons: Michael, Glen and Perris. Four daughters: JoAnn, Marice, Kathy and Denene. Grandchildren: Aneshia, Cindy, Tyreise, Tiaira, Maleko, Tiana, Glen Jr., MarQuisa, Akeem, Manjroal, Lorenzo, David and Nathel. Great Grandchildren: Jaylin, Kelsey, Jada, Adriana, Devyn, twins Maleiha Faye and Amiah Cha’ton, Ta’vion and Dakota.
