Stephen C TONTONI

Tontoni, Stephen C., age 55, died unexpectedly on October 4, 2013 at his home in Seattle WA. Stephen grew up in Owego, NY and graduated from Owego Free Academy in 1976. He attended Rochester Institute of Technology and Seattle Central Community College. Stephen moved to the Seattle area in 1981 and developed his skills as a sign language interpreter, working as a free-lance interpreter and as an employee of Sorenson Communications. Stephen is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Michael and Marilyn Tontoni, his niece Elena of North Wales, PA, as well as his beloved cousins. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Gene and Dina Tontoni. Stephen will be fondly remembered by members of the North West Scale Modelers, the scale modeling community, his many friends in the deaf interpreting community and the Jefferson Park Lawn Bowling Club. His wonderful sense of humor, huge heart and creative spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at the Hearing Speech and Deafness Center in Seattle on Sunday, November 3rd at 6:00 PM. All friends and colleagues are invited to attend.
